What makes APT-CR Self-assessments Unique

When couples or individuals review their self-assessment results, their first question is usually “What does this mean?” Our personalized reports provide the answers. These reports are written based on your individual responses; they are not pre-written or “canned.” Here’s what they include for the personality traits self-assessment:

  1. Trait strength = drawn from the bar graph; this element of the report explains how your personality traits profile compares with the deep store of profiles generated by other users.
  2. A brief narrative section related to each personality trait (Openness to Experiences, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Emotional Inclination) that makes personalized suggestions for concrete steps to use each trait to improve your relationships.
  3. A table showing your responses to each item and the personality trait descriptor each item measures.

These features are unique to APT Counseling Resources self-assessments. While most online self-assessments provide you with a one-word descriptor (i.e., You are an extrovert!); our reports go much further so that you can actually use the information from your self-assessment to make real improvements in your most important relationships.

The reports for our attachment style self-assessments offer the same level of detail, but in a slightly different format. Here are the key elements:

  1. Separate bar graphs and tables for childhood attachment styles and the attachment styles you see in your adult romantic relationships. Note: These profiles often differ, particularly if you have had multiple adult romantic relationships.
  2. A multi-level table that shows where your responses fell within each attachment style. For example, the table that displays your responses related to the Anxious attachment style will identify each response as a) More Anxious, b) Moderately Anxious or c) Less Anxious. This differentiation can be very helpful in focusing your efforts to modify your attachment styles on areas where you will see the greatest benefit.
  3. A narrative report, written just for you, that summarizes our analysis of your responses and anecdotal records of how others with similar attachment style profiles have taken action to improve their relationships.

Again, these report features provide much richer information for use by individuals, couples or counselors in making life-altering changes in their most important relationships. In addition to the structure of the self-assessments; these reports are key features of what makes APT Counseling Resources products and services uniquely effective in helping people like you strengthen their relationships.

Announcement

We have redesigned our Attachment Styles self-assessments to create separate assessments for "primary" and "secondary" caregivers.  This was suggested as a way to meet the needs of clients whose parents or caregivers had very different parenting styles.

We also split off the items dealing with adult romantic relationships into a separate self-assessment.  Again, this was done to try to meet the needs of individual clients.  Email us at APT-CR@Outlook.com to learn more.
